 | Sanpellegrino Cafe` Society Photography Competition22-05-2009 The Sanpellegrino Cafe Society Photography competition began in 2000. The idea came about to showcase iconic cafes in Melbourne and Sydney which are such an important part of our cafe culture, and also an integral part of the Sanpellegrino brand. To celebrate the 10th year of the Sanpellegrino Cafe Society Competition, Sanpellegrino has curated an exhibition showcasing the winning entries from the photography competition from 2000 to 2008. Leading cafes from Melbourne and Sydney are represented in the evocative images taken by final year photography students from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Victorian College of the Arts, and the University of NSW Fine Arts. Each year, students are provided with a new and differing brief in which to exercise their creativity and expertise. Awards are presented to first, second and third prize and a special creativity award. The images will be exhibited at the Postales Restaurante & Tapas Bar, GPO Building, Lower Ground Floor, No. 1 Martin Place 2000 From 20 May to 4 June |
